Bounce Imaging

Class of 2016

Bounce Imaging’s 360-degree throwable cameras give first-responders critical intelligence as they enter dangerous spaces to keep us safe. Whether a police officer responding to a shooting or rescue worker digging through the earthquake rubble, users get instant 360/VR video right to their smartphone, letting them see the dangers ahead.

Our advanced image processing algorithms pull together multiple cameras 200X faster than traditional methods and perfectly stabilize moving video, thus also opening new horizons for consumer action cameras.

A TIME, Popular Science, and CNN Best Invention and Verizon Powerful Answers Winner, Bounce is already deployed with first responders across the U.S.

In three words describe your team

Francisco Aguilar: Global, innovative, mission-driven.

What's your why? (Why did you create this company?)

FA: We developed this company to help those who put their lives on the line for us every day - starting with search & rescue workers and police officers, but expanding to a range of applications.

What sacrifices have you made for your company?

FA: Every single team member could be making more money with less-demanding work elsewhere in the private sector, but we all believe in the potential of the technology to help save lives and to revolutionize the way we look at video.

What is the most exciting thing about being an entrepreneur?

FA: The range of challenges you have to deal with on a daily basis - from engineering to legal to sales & marketing to strategy - and that's all just in an afternoon.
