We’re looking for a Marketing Analytics Intern to assist with analyzing our marketing data, as well as campaign research, development and execution.

    Who are we?

    Suncayr is the maker of SPOTMYUV™, a revolutionary UV detection sensor that tells you how much sunscreen you need and when to reapply.

    Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world and also the most preventable (96%). If sunscreen is used properly, chances of skin cancer are greatly decreased, yet 50% of people don’t use enough. In 2014, three engineers combined their technical knowledge and passion for sun safety to create an innovative sun exposure monitoring technology that helps to solve this problem. That’s how Suncayr™ and SPOTmyUV™ were born.

    Suncayr is made up of a passionate team dedicated to impacting healthcare and simplifying sun safety for all. We’re a 2018 winner of 43North, the $5 million startup pitch competition based right here in Buffalo, NY. This has provided us with the exciting opportunity to work in Western New York’s largest business incubator. Working with our team will allow you a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the vibrant startup community and network with our region’s business leaders.

    Internship Responsibilities

    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals
    • Reporting on marketing KPIs like leads, conversion rates, website traffic, and social media engagement
    • Recommend website and campaign optimizations
    • Analyze content performance and make data-driven recommendations
    • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers and continually refine our process to convert customers
    • Perform split testing to determine how well marketing campaigns are performing
    • Assist with research, development, and execution of new campaign content
    • Social media management

    Skills And Requirements

    Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an interest in marketing analytics. Other skills include:

    • Experience analyzing data sets using SQL, spreadsheet software, or other technologies.
    • Strong writing and editing skills.
    • Some design skills.
    • Some experience and/or knowledge of social media management.
    • Knowledge of content and email marketing best practices.
    • Ability to pick-up and understand new technologies quickly.
    • A team player willing to help out with multiple areas of the business.
    • Creative thinking skills.
    • Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once.
    • Experience with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp is recommended, but not required.
    • Experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify is recommended, but not required.
