We started with over 500 applications, narrowed it down to 129 semifinalists, and then 15 finalists. On October 30, the Top 10 pitched live at Shea’s Performing Arts Center for their shot at a share of $5 million in investment, with a top investment of $1 million and 7 investments of $500,000 each. They’ll also get mentorship, free office space, tax benefits, and recruiting and marketing support in 2020.

Kangarootime raised a $3.5M round led by Cultivation Capital out of St Louis, and has since hired 8 new Buffalo-based employees.
CleanFiber raised $5M and won $250,000 in the 76West Clean Energy Competition.
CoachMePlus won a $750,000 SBIR Phase II to become the leading provider of human performance software to the US Air Force.
Plum raised a $4.2M seed round led by Real Ventures, with support from SAP.iO and BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund.
