On Friday, March 10, 2017, local leaders and members of the startup community gathered in dig at The Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus to announce the launch of the 2017 43North Competition.
New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown encouraged startups from all over the world to apply for a shot at up to $1 million in funding. It was also a time to acknowledge the economic growth and development that has occurred around the Queen City, and how it’s contributing to the growth of an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The application period for the fourth 43North competition is officially open, and applications will be accepted until May 24, 2017 at 11:59pm EDT.
