America’s largest business plan competition is hitting the road, and we’re looking for a few good applicants from across the country and around the world. To spread the word about this ambitious competition awarding a historic $5 million in cash prizes, 43North is embarking on a national and international roadshow that will include stops in 12 U.S. cities, Southern Ontario, India, China and Israel.
During each stop, prospective applicants will have the opportunity to engage with 43North executives and global start-up experts to learn how entrepreneurs can seek capital and successfully be funded to start their venture. Additionally, executives will provide tips and answer questions on how to approach the three independent rounds that comprise the 43North competition. Prospective applicants will learn more about the competition’s funding and mentor resources, as well as lifestyle and cultural information for living and working in Western New York.
The North American stops so far include: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, Raleigh, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Toronto, Washington, D.C., and Waterloo, ON. The international stops are Bangalore, India, Mumbai, India, Shanghai, China, and Tel Aviv, Israel.
As a growing economy, Buffalo, NY is a viable and ripe environment for entrepreneurs with passionate ideas to launch successful start-ups while taking advantage of exceptional resources and greater market exposure.
43North is open to anyone ages 18 and over from anywhere in the world within any industry, except retail and hospitality. The roadshow will commence February 5 – May 31, 2014, the same period as the Round 1 application process.
