Depending on the day, you may see bubbles coming from an upper apartment at the corner of Elmwood and Allen streets. START at Nietzsche’s on Allen Street. To mix things up, this is the perfect place to end your day, no matter which day of the week, with a live music show at Nietzsche’s. Don’t believe us? This local hotspot has been voted Best Live Music Venue in Buffalo by Artvoice, Buffalo ‘s alternative weekly newspaper, three years and counting. You can find weekly and monthly music calendars on Nietzsche’s website. the orchestra embraces music from all genres. This group is polished and tuned to play anything from Led Zeppelin to Michael Jackson. Nietzsche’s isn’t the only place in Allentown that can rock.
Allentown is also home to the very room where on September 14, 1901, Theodore Roosevelt took the oath of office to become the 26th President of the United States in a prominent Buffalo family ‘s home. You can step back in time and see how the home looked that day and learn about the events leading up to his Inauguration at the Theodore Roosevelt Inauguration Site.
