We are officially halfway through Round 1 of the inaugural 43North business idea competition. In just eight weeks, applicants from 48 U.S. states and 56 countries have thrown their hat in the ring for the million-dollar prize.
Our team has been on the road since the competition’s launch in early February, punding the pavement at startup events such as SXSW Interactive in Austin, Startup Grind New York, and Columbus Startup Weekend. We’ve visited top business schools such as The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, to incubators such as Communitech Hub in Waterloo, Ontario, which promotes the commercialization of innovative technologies.
Coming up during the second half of the Round 1 period, our roadshow takes us across the country attending startup events and visiting with entrepreneurs in Atlanta, Syracuse, Rochester, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Denver, Boulder, San Francisco and Portland, OR. Further, we pack our bags and travel overseas to India and Israel.
